  1. Not an imgburn query as such but any idea why i get different results burning the same cue/bin file on different burners. See image below Now the disc on the right wont work with my nav computer, says image corrupt, the one on the left burnt on a burner at home and works flawlessly. I know this is a CD image format which is probably where the issue is arising hence the "this is in the incorrect file format for this type of disc, convert on the fly etc" which i click yes on. (the laser in the nav doesn't have a CD readign laser) But any idea why i get different results? looking in windows the size of the disc is exactly the same! (CDFS) Can you think of a logical reason? OK, i think i know why maybe. One is DVD-r (working) the DVD+R (failing) is this why?? Edit: Above reason is why im sure of it now after doing research, please feel free to ignore. cue contents FILE "NAV_SW.bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00
  2. Long shot as its new drive but might be worth giving the lens a wipe with a cotton bud in Isopropyl alcohol see if it improves things at all. One thing is for sure with these drives they are consistently inconsistent lol. OPC off was definitely better for me using LUK's settings. Always worth doing a full burn on stock FW and see what the results are like, if they are still awful then you know to cut your losses and buy a new burner/laser. This is the best burn I've had.
  3. It seems to be the norm from browsing the web/cdfreaks/your media integrity tests that the scan is done at 4x... Is this done because 4x is the highest that can be verified using CLV? I mean is it accurate to be testing media at this speed when its likely to be read at 12x CAV? Hope that makes sense.
  4. Thank you for confirming what I thought. I was in almost in tears reading the thread from your South African friend, Nice 182 BTW I used to have one strange emoticons on this site, lol.
  5. Is there any difference between using SPTI or Elby's dll? I mean SPTI works fine for me so i so no reason to change i was just curious as to whether it would have an effect on burn quality (PI/PO scans) Logically I don't think it would as this just handles the comms to the drive? But just wondered if there was more to it. Ps also, how come you cannot reply to topics started by someone else?
