  1. Thanks for the tips! It seemed to have helped when I cleaned the writer a bit with a soft cloth (don't have a cleaning disc). Then I used one of the bottom dvd's (they're all stacked, so I thought maybe only the ones at the top have become useless) and I set the speed at 2.4. It burned until 31% and then I got write errors again I think I can guess what "Invalid Address For Write" means. The dvd's are dead, right? /edit: I just finished one while burning at 4x speed. I took the dvd completely at the bottom of the stack. Now I'm even more clueless about the errors...
  2. Hi everyone, I'm getting write errors with every image file I'm trying to burn today and I'm not sure why About half a year ago I was burning images with my laptop on Verbatims (DVD+R DL) without any problems. Obviously with Img Burn. After a busy time where I had close to no free time I've come to a point that I thought I'd try to burn one or two again. I still had lots of those DL dvd's, so I started reading manuals about the burning process (I obviously forgot how to do it). Only thing I remember in the write settings was that I had to put the Layer Break (For DL Media) to "user specified" and then some kind of combination of numbers. Now however, the manual I'm reading says I have to put it on "Calculate Optimal". I'm not sure if this is the problem, but I thought it was strange nonetheless. Anyway, this is the log file: I also tried burning with a different software (clone cd), but I got a write error too. That makes me think the problem is my dvd writer (I have a , but it never caused any problems in the past. I will try a different writer tomorrow, but I thought I'd ask here first. Hopefully somebody can enlighten me, cause I'm pretty much in the dark right now
