Ah so that explains the "slow" 1.0 USB burning speeds of 15-20min for AVCHD and iso images but I don't think that is slow at all, in fact I was happy with that! Now I have 0.7x... 0.7x= TOO LONG!!!! Get what I'm saying? So this shows that whatever the issue is it's not an IMGburn thing, it's probably something with my computer, at least that's my theory. I'm just trying to get out of the whole 0.7x burning speed when I know it can be faster because it always was when I used IMGburn BEFORE the system recovery. I do understand "fast" for me does not necessarily equate to "fast" for others, but I do think you'd agree that 15-20min is a lot faster than waiting over an hour.

Depended what I was burning, I would burn CD's at 48x so no time at all In regards to AVCHD burns (converted from mkv files), it would take about 15-20min. NOW it takes over an hour to burn iso images, and I haven't even tried to burn avchd files partly because I have to reinstall all my programs (see my original post for the issues I had with my computer) and partly because I think it's going to take forever and I just need to find the time to do so (in grad school ). And yes this was all while connected to a 1.0 USB port, I just can't prove it (again see previous posts ) Anyway, thanks for looking at my post! I think I'm just going to completely wipe out my computer (I have it backed up anyway on an external drive) and see what happens. I'm hoping it's just that there were some registry issues and my computer became a mess so a clean install may or may not fix the problem.

The only way I can PROVE to you that I have burned faster than that is to show you previous logs. Unfortunately, I cannot to that because I don't have any due to deleting all previous IMGburn files. So, I guess two things: 1. Your going to have to believe me when I say I did burn avchd files and iso files up to 16x using verbatim DL discs (that speed was a personal preference) OR 2.Think I'm a crazy guy who doesn't know what I'm talking about (and obviously since you created the program you would know more than me...but I really really did I really did and have never had a 2.0 usb port, that's the truth but I'm sure you would still probably tell me "I don't know what makes you think you have, but you haven't") So I do appreciate your time and I guess I now have to deal with slower burning speeds, but I'm telling you and I know you don't believe me and think i'm crazy, but I really did burn at faster speeds WHILE connected to the 1.0 usb port. In fact, my Liteon doesn't work anymore that's why I bought the external one (this external one is the only one I ever used with IMGburn and it's always burned at PERFECT speeds). So i just wish I could prove it but I can't. I also hope you don't think I'm some punk kid playing a joke because I'm really not. Anyway, thank you again, your time is appreciated. Also thank you for the NERO explanation. I really do believe it has something to do with my system recovery because I didn't do a clean install and so a bunch of things could just have been affected, I may just actually do a complete clean install of my computer. Recently my computer had some issues and I had to do a system recovery install but never lost any data. So, I had to reinstall IMGburn and I thought everything would be cool, well NOW it only burns iso's at 0.7x and mp3 cd's at 2.0x. Before joining I wanted to be sure I looked through the forum for an answer but all I have found are the following reasons: Drive not DMA (spent about an hour and a half reconfiguring DMA because of a known issue that Windows XP will say it's DMA but really stays at PIO, anyway this is not the problem, I made sure BIOS showed DMA also.) USB 1.0: While it is true that I DO NOT have a usb 2.0 device, I have NEVER had one and so why was IMGburn burning aqt perfect speeds previously? I find it hard to believe that it would just decide to stop working, so I know this can't be the issue) DVD medium: Using same DVD's I've always used, never had a problem HERE's WHAT I THINK: In looking at the log above I see these lines: 21:44:38 Source File Volume Set Identifier: 3B2BA4E0C4D45B1F I 21:44:38 Source File Application Identifier: NERO BURNING ROM I 21:44:38 Source File Implementation Identifier: Nero The problem with these lines is that I DO NOT have NERO installed on my computer, but I USED to have it installed (but due to issues I previously mentioned I had to do a system recovery and though I didn't lose any data all my files of previously installed programs remained though they weren't installed just like IMGburn, though I chose to delete my previous files of IMGburn and just went ahead and installed the newest version from your site) So, I hope I'm making some sense here. I just don't really know what's going on and I have used IMGburn for a long time with NO issues so I know my computer and drives are capable of working well with IMGburn but I think somehow some registry problems occured and I don't know what to do to fix them (Why does it say NERO? I haven't even installed it again), so if you can help me figure this out it would be GREAT, if not thanks anyway because I do appreciate your time and know your busy.
