  1. ========================== Below is the info from the 4x burn that had one "Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (0/2) - Power Calibration Area Error", but competed OK. Note that it plays OK in my PC but my home DVD player does intermittently have some trouble initially finding the D/L disc -- it has to hunt for a while, sometimes it finds it, other times it doesn't. BTW, the image does burn and play fine on a +R single layer: -------------------- LITE-ON DVDRW SHM-165H6S HS0E (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 3,693,120 Size: 7,563,509,760 bytes Time: 820:43:45 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x DVD?R DL Boundary Information: L0 Data Zone Capacity: 1,984,032 Changeable: No Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,305,663 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,180,639 Layer Information: Layer 0 Sectors: 1,984,032 (53.72%) Layer 1 Sectors: 1,709,088 (46.28%) -------------------- ========================== Below is the data from the 2.4x burn that had multiple Power Calibration Area errors, then: Close Track Failed! - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error Finalising Disc... Finalise Disc Failed! - Reason: Session Fixation Error - Incomplete Track in Session I also attempted to manually close out the track/session/disk from the ImgBurm Tools menu after the fails: -------------------- LITE-ON DVDRW SHM-165H6S HS0E (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Incomplete Erasable: No Sessions: 2 Sectors: 3,693,120 Size: 7,563,509,760 bytes Time: 820:43:45 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x DVD?R DL Boundary Information: L0 Data Zone Capacity: 1,984,032 Changeable: No Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD-ROM Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,180,639 Layer Information: Layer 0 Sectors: 1,984,032 (53.72%) Layer 1 Sectors: 1,709,088 (46.28%) -------------------- ========================== Hope this helps.
  2. I am experiencing exactly the same problem: Lite-On 165H6S, latest firmware (HS0E) Verbatim MKM001 +DL "Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (0/2) - Power Calibration Area Error" The problem only occurs on DL writes 4x - 1 error but completes OK 2.4x - multiple Power Calibration Area errors, then Close Track Failed! - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error Finalising Disc... Finalise Disc Failed! - Reason: Session Fixation Error - Incomplete Track in Session <coaster> I've owned several Lite-Ons. This is the newest and the first one I've ever had any problems with. Could this be a problem inherent with the Lite-On 165H6S? Or something else? Any ideas?
