  1. I'm really sorry for being a dullard, and understand that you get what you pay for in terms of quality, but why does this budget media allow a film to be burnt ok for say 90 mins, then degrade, pixilate or freeze at that point. Why doesn't it do this from the start? I appologise for maybe asking a stupid question, but I'm curious as to why this happens! Many thanks for your fore-bearance!! I really appreciate your time taken to help.
  2. Many thanks Guy's!!! Just tried using some verbatim discs and it worked first time, and it's not as if they are vastly more expensive than the budget stuff that I've used for ages (in fact, if I take into consideration the budget ones wasted, then there is no difference!). My only other query is why should the budget stuff work so well for so long (I'd never had a problem for over a year), and then all of a sudden they stop working completely? Any suggestions? Still, once again, many thanks for your help, it is truely appreciated. Once a technophobe, always a technophobe, T1mbo
  3. Hi, I've run into a problem with burning discs. I've not had a problem before, but just recently my burned discs have not verified or played properly. They seem to burn ok, but I then get an uncorrectable error message during verify, and when I try to play them, they seem to be ok to start with, then towards the end of the film the picture becomes very blocky and freezes. I've been using DVD Shrink and never had any probs until the last few weeks, and this started half way through a pack of discs that had been fine until now. Also, the drive seemd to burn CD's with no problems at all. Is this likely to be a software or hardware problem (it's a Sony DW D22A)? Any ideas gratefully received, Many Thanks
