I've always used TDK manufactured by Taiyo Yuden but ran out and went to buy a new spindle. Little did I know that TDK was made by Imation, which has a history of crappy discs. The very top disc of the Imation spindle worked fine, even on MAX speed. The next several CD's I tried to burn with all finished the writing process 100% but when the verification process comes (that part after closing the disc tray when it ejects), I get an I/O error saying 'Unrecovered Read Error'. This is the log of one of my tries:

I've tried 2x, 4x, 10x, 14x, etc. I have a feeling it's my CD's but it could be the whole updating firmware. My driver is Optiarc DVD RW AD-7590S. If you also have information on how to update that driver's firmware, please tell me. I appreciate all the help.
