Holy crap...You're right! I looked on the disc and sure enough, CD-R. Some idiot sold me bogus discs! Thanks!

I've just installed a LG Multi blue burner (HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH12LS39), installed it's software, and now see all my burning aps like Corel VS11.5+, LG burning tool, and imgburn all think it's a cd-r burner. With some software, this limits my burns to 700MB. Not sure about imgburn as it seems to want to burn BD-R with this profile but I stopped after 2 failed burns.
