[Problem with new DVD-R discs, only burn at 2x]

Hi Cynthia. It makes sense that it is the drive, unfortunately the firmware you kindly provided the link to is not compatible with the drive which makes no sense. I think I am stuck with this!

[Problem with new DVD-R discs, only burn at 2x]

This is a new stack of Asda DVD-R 16x discs which I usually have no problems with, however IMGBURN only offers 2x as the available burning speed. My standalone DVD recorder remains happy to burn these at full speed.
