I was to soon with my conclusions in this
Altough set to 8x speed write both my Samsung writers will not go faster then 4x speed.
What have I done,
1. Changed sata cables.
2. Put writers on diffrent sata-ports.
3. Completely re-installed Windows 7 x64 from scratch
4. Installed Mobo/Chipset drivers for MSI K9N2 Diamond
5. Set speed manually in Imgburn
6. Burned from a other harddisk
None of the above helped and I think about to return them to the shop and get other writers.
But before that, maby someone else over here has a idea what to do to make them work.
Media used Verbatim+R DL 8x speed Printable.
Latest firmware of the drives installed: SB00

Does anyone have a other suggestion ?
P.s.
Re-connected my old Pioneer DVR-216DBK, started a write at 8.0 speed and guess what, no problems at all.
Have to say I use Verbatim+R DL Printable and those disc are slightly heavier then non-printable Verbatims+R DL discs.
Below the log file, have removed my name and replaced it for *

Have contacted the reseller and I can bring the Samsung writes back and will get Lite-on writers.
