  4. so if not a software problem what would it be? tried different discs, tried different dvd burner, made sure drivers are all up to date, tried burning at slower speeds... did I miss anything?
  5. update. I uninstalled Imgburn and installed Nero 12 and it burned cd and dvd ok so it looks like its a software problem working with windows 8 64 bit system.
  6. I have tried different speeds and 2 different kinds of discs
  7. Everything was working fine on windows 7. I upgraded to windows 8 and have not been able to burn a dvd. I was using anydvd along with clonedvd and it was like taking 3 hours to burn a dvd but when It was done the disc would be unreadable. I burned the same file with the same software on another computer and it worked fine. I tried different dvds. So I am thinking its a bad burner so I go out and buy a new one. The new one burns the dvd in like 8 minutes but disc still bad. I figured ok, software might not be working with windows 8. I install imgburn and it seems to write ok but disc still fails. I don't know what else to try. anyone have any ideas? I will try to attach the log file for my last attempt. ImgBurn.log
