  1. Thanks for the ISOBuster suggestion. It was able to see the structure of the disc, but was unable to recover any files. I'm still trying to find out how to go about closing the track/session/disc. As always, thanks very much.
  2. Thanks again - again, that makes sense. I've tried the disc in the drive in which it was found but still no joy. In fact, the drive was chucking out all sorts of I/O errors which might explain why the track is unfinished. Touch more help needed. I've tried Googleing and searching the forum, but I think I'm missing something about how to actually close the session/disc. I've tried Tools -> Drive -> Close -> Track, the Tools -> Drive -> Close -> Session, then finally Tools -> Drive -> Close -> Disc, but nothing seemed to be written to the disc. What have I missed? Thanks again.
  3. Thanks so much for the speedy reply. It makes sense that closing the session/disc might help. With respect to finding a drive that would allow the read of the track, can you offer any advice on what "feature" I'd be looking for on such a drive? Thanks again.
  4. Hi all, This is not quite an ImgBurn Support issue, but I thought it the most sensible place to ask. As part of my work I am trying to recover the data from a DVD-R. I've had loads of success in the past simply using the 'Create Image File from Disc' option within ImgBurn. This time however, I've noticed something I've never noticed before. In the summary of the disc it shows the following: First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 0 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 The last physical sector of the data area is 0 whereas the first is 196,608. Consequently when I try to image the disc, ImgBurn seems to think it's done once it hits sector 0. So two questions: How could I go about getting the data from the disc? What might have happened in order for this situation to have arisen? Any information anybody could offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
