Thanks for your quick reply. Is there a certain threshold for DVD-R? Example: Would be be overall quicker to write a 7-1/2 minute movie vs. a 5 minute movie + padding? I suppose I could test this myself, but I might have to burn through 25 DVD's

I've noticed that when burning really short movies (1-5 minutes) on a DVD-R, the Synch Cache takes upto 2 or 3 minutes? Are there any settings that I can change to decrease this time? (and it seems to only occur on DVD-R. Once I burn through my stock of DVD-R, I will only buy DVD+R) I'm running imgburn from a batch file: BIN\ImgBurn /MODE WRITE /SRC "ISO\Ballet-3-4.iso" /COPIES 1 /VERIFY NO /EJECT YES /START /CLOSE /WAITFORMEDIA /LOG "vince.log" /LOGAPPEND /PORTABLE

For the past 5 years I have been using & re-using a batch of 10 DVD+RW's with no problems I do a quick erase of an old disc, then burn a new image. I just recently got a new set of Verbatim DVD+RW 4X When I go to burn an image, it get the message (Disc Needs Formatting) If I do Tools->Drive->Erase Disc->Quick, I get You Must Perform a Full Erase If I try a full erase, it hangs at 11% I have taken the same disc into Nero Burning ROM and was able to do a quick erase Returning to ImgBurn, I get the same (Disc Needs Formatting)
