That's the problem, your drive doesn't think they're empty. 'Complete' should actually say 'Empty'. That's a value returned directly from the drive, not something I'm making up as a result of certain tests or anything. Try getting some of the 2.4x verbatims instead, it would appear your drive doesn't fully support the 8x ones. Many thanks for your help. I've successfully recorded onto Verbatim DVD-R, 4.6GB 16x I'll try the 2.4x, and also ask the computer manufacturer (Evesham) why the Toshiba drive won't cope with the 'Complete' discs.

Am using brand new Verbatim Double Layer DVD+R discs. I want to burn a video from my hard drive. Can follow the support forum instructions for burning the video fine - but when I insert the blank DVD IMGBURN comes up with the message "Disc not empty" - and I'm stopped in my tracks. I've now tried 3 brand new discs with same results. Any suggestions?
