  1. To mmalves, polopony and LIGHTNING UK; Thanks for the help. Did like all of you suggested and ImgBurn works like a champ now. My system (Sony) is supposed to have auto-updates like Windows but apparently it is not working/available. 'Ol Dad
  2. I can't cut or past, but the info in the right widow is: Sony DVD RW DRU-710A BY01 (ATA) Current Profiles: DVD-R Disc Information Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Free Sectors: 2,297,888 Free Space: 4,706,074,624 bytes Free Time: 570:40:38 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 1X, 2X, 4X Physical Format Information (Last Recorded) Book Type: DVD-R Part Versions: 5 Disc Size: 120mm Maximun Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/bit First Physical Sector of Data: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data: 0 Last Physical Sector in Layer: 0 The file was imported from DVD Shrink File Sys: ISO9660, UDF (1.02), Sectors: 2,177,055 (MODE1/2048) Size: 4,458,608,640 bytes Time: 483:49:40 (MM:FF:SS) Are these discs imcompatable with ImgBurn for some reason? I'm at a loss because some discs work and others dont't when they have the same specifications. Also, most of the info above doesn't mean much to me. Anyway, I would welcome any comments, ideas, or referals.
  3. When I try to write (backing up movies and data) I get the following message: "Disc Not Empty". This has occured with Sony, Phillips, Verbatim (sometimes) & Memorex (first time, new spindle) DVDs. It has not occured with NexxTech or Office Depot branded discs. Any ideas or is this something done by the disc manufacturers.
