  1. I am trying to limit the write speed on my Pioneer 207D so that it will burn Verbatim 25GB BD-R discs at Verbatim's stated 6x speed. Currently, ImgBurn burns these discs at the max for the 207D ~10x. I have tried playing with the Tools>Automatic Write Speed>Disk Id:" but have not had any success since I don't know what it wants for a "Disk ID", etc. I know this question has been asked many times...but be gentle...can someone point me to the solution. I am using ImgBurn to handle the Blu-Ray burning within DVDFab so I would like to have the parameters preset in ImgBurn. Thanks in advance.
  2. Thank you. I appreciate the quick response. I off and burning the zip files!
  3. I use ImgBurn for almost everything I put on an optical disc. I thought I had it all figured out! But...I am trying to burn a bunch of 22GB files that were created by WinZip15.5 and ImgBurn will not recognize them. Windows 8 File Manager will do the job but it wants to copy the file(s) to the system partition (SSD) before starting the burn process. I know I'm overreacting but I don't want to "wear out" my SSD burning files to a Blu-Ray disc. For some reason ImgBurn does not recognize .zip files or for that matter any compressed file .z01,z02...etc. Help would be appreciated.
  4. Thank you! I said it was obvious I just did not get it! WRITE mode and it all makes sense. I did the Tools>Drive>Erase>Full and it is writing zeros while I type this. Just curious, any idea on why did the 50GB disc did the zeros format on first use and the 25GB disc did not?
  5. I appreciate the response. But I'm slow - how do I tell Imgburn to do a full erase or how do I format a disc without spare areas? I'm sure it is obvious but I seem to be missing whatever I have to do. For some reason Imgburn handled the 50GB discs automatically - took an hour or more to write zeros the first time I used them but they all burn at 2x. I'm using the latest version of Imgburn.
  6. For some reason ImgBurn will only write to a Verbatum 25GB BD-RE disk at 1x. I read somewhere that Imgburn must format the disk (write zero's) in order for it to burn at 2x. I have several Verbatum 50GB BD-RE disks and Imgburn did a "0's" level format the first time I used them and they burn at 2x. Imgburn did not do that with the 25GB disks. Can someone please tell me how to force this to happen?

    Copy CD

Need a little help. I have been using ImgBurn to create DVD's, Bluray's and Boot CDs from ISO images with no problems. So...I finally crossed over and deleted my very old faithful Nero 7 program(s). However, I went to make a backup copy of a Music CD and for some reason ImgBurn wants to read music cd's at 4x! The DVD drives I'm using are a Sony AD-7240S or a Sony AD 7260S. Can someone please tell me what I have to change to get ImgBurn (ver 2.5.6) to read CD's at something faster than 4x?
