  1. I like cream colored ponies......and crisp apple struddels (?). Anyway...okay thanks for the advice on media - in fact a big thank you all round i think . I've pushed my luck far enough - it's obvious i need to seek advice elsewhere regarding rips etc . I was completely unaware of the sensitivity surrounding this subject on these forums. I assumed it was a given, and that everybody does this from time to time, so sorry about that. Stay safe
  2. That does actually work!! Great!! However, playback is a little choppy. Perhaps as you intimated earlier it could be down to the media or the burn speed. I made a new iso from the T_Video directory that was included in the rip. Strange thing is though the original iso from the rip when burnt to disc still refuses to work (0 bytes, raw format) despite ImgBurn saying pretty much what the above does. Is the original iso included likely to be better quality that the T_Video files? Is it common practice to include both iso and T_Video files in a rip? Presumably i'm not missing out on anything, quality wise? What is considered the best media format to get rips in, for playback?
  3. You want to webex in and have a look instead Sure will do, i'm still at work though - i'll post it up in about an hour or so. I do appreciate this. 5. 0 bytes or 0 bytes free? Again, giving you the benefit of doubt, you can load the ISO into Imgburn which will happily burn it onto a disk for you. You can also change the output from ImgBurns' build option to write the files directly to disk instead of creating an ISO first. That'd be 0 bytes written. Yeah...that's what i did, basically loaded up Imgburn and pointed it at the iso file and away it went. The burn went through without error, it ejected the disc, took it back in, and done a verify and that completed without error.
  6. Thanks for the advice Lightning. ImgBurn appeared to have written the full 2gig iso file to the disc, it's verify also reported back as successful. However, within windows explorer the disc reports as 0 bytes (in raw format). I'm just wondering if i even need that iso file, given that the TS_Video files are all present and play directly from my PC (i'm trawling through the guide forums currently - thanks for the pointer).
  7. Hi there Guys, i'm completely new to this entire burning thing and i was hoping you would be so kind as to point me in the right direction. Basically, after a huge amout of searching and messing about, i've finally managed to download shrek 3 for my young daughter (she loves donkey) . However what has downloaded it a set of files, but i don't know what the process is for getting these onto DVD. The top level directory contains one folder and one file, the file being "Shrek The Third [PC][DVD][English].iso" the folder is called "Shrek 3-030207-0005", now in that folder is another folder called "VIDEO_TS", and within that are files called "VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0, VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2" etc Now being completely simple as i am, and expecting things just to work i loaded up Imgburn and navigated and selected the ISO file, the burn took place, and the verify seemed to be okay too, but when i insert the dvd in the drive, it reports no data, with a type of "RAW". I'm wondering whether i have included all of the files required? Do i need to include the VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0, VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2" etc as well? Also if anyone could recommend a free dvd burner as well, i'd be most grateful. Thanks Paul
