  1. Thank You both. I'll start looking for external burner. I've set the max burning speed in ImgBurn to 6x for now, I will lower it again, and again until those verify errors stop showing. I forgot to mention that even with the 8x speed, they show up roughly every 10th DVD. But I'll burn at lover speeds. As for that read option that You recommend volvofl10, I don't think it would have any effect, since mu drive's max read speed for DVD+-R is already 8x. Don't have a standalone dvd player, but every time the verify fails, I try to copy that disc on a HD, just to be sure, and it always failed. But, if it's a video file, you can forward over the damaged place, so DVD isn't wasted completely. Thank You for your time.
  2. Thank You for your advice, and Your welcome. Will try it and see how it works out. Although I bought my laptop 2 years ago, i didn't use burner very often. I don't think I have burned more than 50 DVDs+CDs, even if we count RW-s. I'm sorry I used this tread, instead of creating new. I taught since I had same problem it should go in the same topic, and thus keeping the forum less cluttered. Well I have just one more question, and than I'll leave this topic alone You said that laptop burners break down quicker. Can they the be replaced in such case? I know that memory, HD, can be replaced or upgraded, but i don't remember reading in manual about burner being replaced. Or maybe to buy external burner (rack + classic burner) is better option? If You recommend second option, could You recommend some model, or what to look for when choosing. I can read from some forums that there is no brand that is reliable these days, not even if You by the most expensive one. It all depends on the production series you get your hands on.
  3. Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I also have this problem. First time it happened while verifying Verbatim 16X DVD-R, second time while verifying Verbatim 16X DVD+R. Every time, error was reported while verifying somewhere in the last 10% of disc. I haveNEC DVD+-RW ND-6650A 1.42 (ATA) in my laptop, and the max burning speed is 8x. So, I'm burning at half of DVDs writing speed, using Verbatim media and still getting this read errors? Why?
