There was never any groudwork in DVD Decrypter for image building.
You're confusing it with just reading the disc sector by sector to create an image.
This is the next big thing I'll work on. No idea how long it'll take though
Great
I think it will be worth the wait.
Thanks.

Check here,
it will be fixed in the next version,( a windows caching problem)

It's a windows caching problem.
Seems windows doesn't cache me reading in the 4gb file if I read in 64k chunks. As I switched to 256k (to hopefully speed things up!), it now caches everything and eats all your memory.
This was reported lastweek sometime and fixed almost immediately.
Get 1.2.1.0 when I release it and you'll be fine.
Cheers for reporting it though.
maybe you can put an option for us to choose the transfer rate.

Imgburn does not copy dvds.
I just burns them, and you need an image in order to use it.
And a dvd-burner

dirio49,
Ok that would fall in line with the old 3.47 version needing a 1GB file to go into DVD mode then. I guess it hasn't been changed after all
the Image is less than 2 megs.

LUK. It's all good.
the log i'm showing is from the verify mode, and the image mounted is not the same as in the log being compared.
for example i mounted the .mds and verified it with the .iso. . So there is not way to know from the log.
mounted .iso, compare to to .MdsI 22:43:40 Source Device: [2:0:0]MC3588R QED521H 1.0 (Z:) (SCSI)

You are right. Deamon tools 4.03
actually .MDS=DVD-ROM
and .ISO=CD-ROM.
thanks for the clarification. As CD and DVD have different transfer rates for 1x, that's why you're seeing different 'x' ratings within ImgBurn.MC3588R QED521H 1.0 (SCSI)Current Profile: DVD-ROM

they are both the same image( 200 mb (about)) one mounted in .iso file and one by the .mds( cretad by imgburn)
i guest deamon tools thinks the .mds is a dvd?

Besides, isn't the maximum rate the fastest it ever gets, e.g. even for a simple microburst, if it achieves that rate, then, it would be listed as the max. I remember once getting a max read from a mounted virtual drive image of something like 40x!
That nothing with 1.2.0.0 I tried to verify an mounted image and i got
145.?? x (22-23 megs per second)
but when i run it the second time it went to about 40.
but 145, that is huge no?

I just got this burning something else, but I think its the same error...
I 10:58:15 ImgBurn Version 1.2.0.0 started!

I 10:58:17 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MCC-003-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x)
just found this wierd, it says found a DVD-R drive. and the disk is DVD+R.
Maybe your drive does not like dvd+r disks.
BTW did you in anyway crossflash this drive?
from DVD+RW to DVD+-RW.
if yes maybe this is the problem.

I I have also downloaded some films from the internet and it is also not recognising these.

PS exist an utility that permit to modify MDS settings created with imgburn option menu?
this MDS created here has not layer break info, it just put the path of the iso file.
-
i would say, create an image with pgcedit,
because dvdshrink removes the layer break info and does not care about layer break.
but notice pgcedit will create otp layer track i believe.
best of luck

Cool , A discovery image.
This way every media type gets a fair chance.
thank for the reply.
