thank for fast reply.. I Verify in Verify mode and got no errors ... i've had this happened in the past but while playing in a dvd player sometime it skips or glitch for a sec or two but shows no errors verify???? any ideas??

Hi. Recently Just bought a new LG GE 20 usb dvd burner last month.I Have be able to burn about 20 to 30 disc successfully. but now sometimes when burning a disc i get these kinds of errors when verify the disc (log file below) ... I always use verbitam disc..also when i started using this burner i used the auto burn speed which was set for " max"..... but recently change that to 8x because i notice that 2 bottom buffer would lower while burning. I try defragment the hard drive but still get these error on some disc.and also don't use any other programs while burn even go as far as shutdown zone alarm fire and other processes.. also check the firmware but wasn't able to find any update on one for this drive..do i have to lower the burn speed to better get results ???? did all of that it. the "RFlash.exe" was able to see my drive, but it still didn't work when trying to update the firmware .. gave me error "cannot update for different Typecode - NG*NG*NG" also wast't sure if i got the right " legacy Adaptec ASPI" or if i installed it correctly. here the page i went to "http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/speed/software_pc/aspi/aspi_471a2_exe.htm" let know if thats what you were talking about.. and if you have any other tips or solutions..thanks again!!!

thanks for your reply.. I tried update the firmware , but get a error when trying to do it.. the RFLASH.EXE program doesn't even recognize any of my drives, when selecting the target drive. also when i click the option to "back up current f\w", i get cdrw00.ric??? seem like the flash program is not recognizing the current dvd firmware if that makes sense.. let me know if you want to post some screen shots.. one again thanks so much for your time.. hope everything makes sense P.s my computer is hp refurbished computer .

Hi, i've been trying to burn dvds with my usb TDK DVDRW0404N 1.0C (USB) drive. Don't know if thats a bad idea to use USB for A dvd burner connection.?? I've had success in the past, but all of a sudden im gettin a 40% chance of successfully burn....i've try Defragmenting my drive ( which im going to try again using a 3rd party software if know of any good ones let me know)...... but i still recieve a " No Seek Complete". error Wondering if anybody can help me??? and for dvd media i am using veratim disc (MCC-003-00) even thou my USB drive doesn't recognize them ...and i have the most updated firmware...also, i have another drive connected using ATA ( don't know if that makes sense, im kinda of computer novice)......Thanks for your time.. Please somebody post back to give me some kinda advice...Also, my other burner is RICOH DVD+RW MP5240A 1.11 (ATA), but for some reason im not able to update the firmware ( the updated verse is 1.19, while i have 1.11 firmware )...both burners are kinda old but i can't get the firmware update to work for richoh burner ??
