Did you not do a Little research before buying that drive ?

Get yourself an external pioneer 115/116 if using laptop (stay away from emachines gear) and for internal use just get a 115/116 for 360 backups

I 23:49:48 Destination Device: [1:0:0] TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552D GA01 (G:) (ATA)

You could try crossflashing it to SH-W162D TS02 for a better chance at burning :)

I actually got it to work... turns out there was a finger print on the disc... but after the first burn it now wont recognize my media

How would i cross flash and your sure it works right?

This and this site say both are the same drive.

To crossflash you need to extract the files from SH-W162D_TS02.exe using WinRAR/7-Zip/etc, run Tsdnwin.exe -nocheck, select the 200708091111502732_SH-W162D_TS02.bin file as the firmware to flash and hit the Download button. Before doing this remove any disc from the drive and close the tray, then reboot the computer after the flashing is done.
