dbminter
Is there a way to hide updates in Windows Updates for Vista? I have a typical Microsoft fucker error that after installing the update, Windows Update wants to list it again as an update I need. And, any attempt to download the update again returns a typical Microsoft fucker error, this time the error is just the classic unknown error. Thanks! Cynthia
It's possible to hide them. I have a lot of language pack hidden. Can't just remember how you do it. Perhaps right click on the row for the update item?

Cynthia
It's possible to get free help from Microsoft even if you don't have a paid support subscription as long as the issue is with The Microsoft Windows Update program. https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527
dbminter
yep, right click the item you don't want and choose hide Thanks! I didn't think to try right clicking on them. I never even thought about it.
dbminter
Turns out it doesn't do much good. Microsoft just re-enables the download periodically.
Cynthia
If it's re enabled for the languages - it's because they shipped new ones for SP2.
