dalonegun Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I have a Optiarc rw ad-7560a ata burner, and I've seen other people on this forum who have been able to change their booktype. For some reason whenever I try to change booktypes, the same message keeps on coming up, "Failed Invalid Command Operation." Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cynthia Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, dalonegun! It might be a rebadged burner (not a true Optiarc). On the other hand it might be that ImgBurn book types it for you. In this thread - the same burner and book type is active. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6940 You have the setting 'Auto change book type' enabled in the write tab in the Settings?
dalonegun Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Hello Cynthia, Thank you for your quick response , I do have it on auto, should I change it to something else. How can I tell if I have a rebadged burner (not a true Optiarc)? and if I do what are my options. Thanks again,
Cynthia Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Someone posted that it might be a QSI based burner. Auto is the right one to have enabled. Sure it's not book typing it already? Post a burning log if you are unsure.

mmalves Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 That part of the log doesn't show the booktype. It's shown at the start of the Verify stage. By the way... I 17:53:19 Destination Device: [0:0:0] Optiarc DVD RW AD-7560A DH10 (E:) (ATA) There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished).

I updated the firmware, I will try it again with verify, hopefully it works....Thanks again, and I'll update once I give it another shot.
