The Program Won't Let Me Change Booktypes

I have a Optiarc rw ad-7560a ata burner, and I've seen other people on this forum who have been able to change their booktype. For some reason whenever I try to change booktypes, the same message keeps on coming up, "Failed Invalid Command Operation." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum, dalonegun!

 

It might be a rebadged burner (not a true Optiarc).

 

On the other hand it might be that ImgBurn book types it for you. In this thread - the same burner and book type is active.

You have the setting 'Auto change book type' enabled in the write tab in the Settings?

Thank you for your quick response , I do have it on auto, should I change it to something else. How can I tell if I have a rebadged burner (not a true Optiarc)? and if I do what are my options. Thanks again,

Someone posted that it might be a QSI based burner.

 

Auto is the right one to have enabled.

 

Sure it's not book typing it already? Post a burning log if you are unsure.

That part of the log doesn't show the booktype. It's shown at the start of the Verify stage.

 

By the way...

There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished).

I updated the firmware, I will try it again with verify, hopefully it works....Thanks again, and I'll update once I give it another shot.
