Very Aggrevating Problem

Okay so yesterday ImgBurn wasnt burning my Xbox 360 ISO's to only a certain type of DVD DL disk. I updated the firmware and burned a perfect disk this afternoon. I began playing the game and it turns out the disk I used was old and has huge scratches in it, so I went to reburn the game.

I 23:58:41 Operation Started!

I 23:58:41 Source File: C:\Documents and Settings\Tom Rules\Downloads\Prototype\www.realmom.info - XBOX360- xxx-pro\xxx-pro.dvd

I 23:58:41 Source File Volume Set Identifier: 356fc000MS UDFBridge

I 23:58:41 Source File Application Identifier: CDIMAGE 2.45 (12/06/2000 TM)

I 23:58:41 Destination Media Sectors: 3,827,520

I 23:58:41 Write Mode: DVD

I 23:58:41 Write Type: DAO

I 23:58:41 Write Speed: 2.4x

I 23:58:41 Link Size: Auto

I 23:58:41 Test Mode: No

I 23:58:41 OPC: No

I 23:58:41 BURN-Proof: Enabled

I 23:58:41 Book Type Setting: DVD-ROM

I 23:58:41 User Specified L0 Data Zone Capacity: 1,913,760

E 23:58:42 Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!

E 23:58:42 Reason: Invalid Field in Parameter List

E 23:58:42 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:00:01

And then I get this! I dont understand whats going on. I already wasted like 3 DVD's by pushing Continue...so I'm not gonna try and fix this problem myself and waste more. If anyone has a clue please help.

BTW I HAVE TRIED IT WITH VERBS ALSO. THESE DISKS WORK FINE FOR EVERY OTHER GAME, IVE TRIED A BUNCH OF THEM ALREADY.

So please dont tell me to use Verbs.

That log shows you using a non-blank disc.

Please give me the FULL log with a new one.

Make sure you're using v2.5.0.0

Your firmware dates back to 2006 so basically, your drive is very old. Perhaps a cleaning disc would help?

You also have 2 supported write speeds listed there... have you tried burning at both of them?

Have you read this? -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

Uh...

I was begining to type "4x" because that's what I selected in the box.

And I was waiting for the LO error. Didn't come!

Its burning right now! Thank you! Weird though, I got a CD from the button of the tray so maybe the other ones were coasters? I'll try them on another game in a few minutes

Also what do you mean the disk was not empty?

Ugh!

I spoke to early.

It finished burning, and then at 99% Finalizing Disk it got a write error? I kept trying and trying and it kept giving me an error. I put the disk in my xbox anyways and it didnt work.

Now, me being the idiot at am(well its 3:30 in the morning, so I guess I can have a break?) I exited out of the log =[

Any idea on what can be up? I'll try again tomorrow but I'm sick of wasting disks -_-

You find the older logs in ImgBurn's Help menu.

By the way, if you really want to use those crappy blanks you have you'll need to buy a new burner that may support them, because the burner you have clearly doesn't.

It does support them, I burned over 5 games with these 'crappy blanks' as I stated in the first post....it just stopped working. And again, as I stated in the first post - I tried verbs. But anyways thanks for telling me where to find the logs:

I 02:56:30 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started!

I 02:56:30 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)

I 02:56:30 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 11:19:05 Destination Media Sectors: 3,826,688

That disc was damaged in a previous failed burn, and that's why you're getting different error messages with it (e.g. the number I quoted above should always be 4,173,824 for blank DVD+R DL discs).

You see, the burn process relies on the burner/firmware/media combination: since you're using the latest firmware for your burner, the next easy thing to change is media. The software can't force the hardware to do anything it doesn't want/support.

We know from our own tests that Verbatim 2.4x blanks work on most burners, even when many other dual-layers failed. If you don't want to take our word for it, fine, but look around on the several forums that deal with burning/games/etc and you'll see the consensus.

If you're going to get a new burner have a look over at cdfreaks forums, they test a lot of drives and there you'll find which brand/models of burner might be able to burn your discs.

I just tried my last Verb and for some reason its working. I dont understand why though? I've went through about 10 of my "Sonik Data" disks and havnt gotten a result! The thing thats wierd is that the sectors for each disk are perfect when I start off...I dont get the difference?

I have however burned a couple games on these disks. The reason Im using them is bc I ran out of Verbs and had these stuffed in the closet somewhere so I wanted to use them instead of spending 40 dollars to get more verbs
