Tarek
Hello there, I recently downloaded three Xbox 360 games and I am trying to burn them. The files are 100% fine and working after verifying using ABGX. I am using a 15" early '08 MacBook Pro. I have tried burning Xbox 360 games before and it did the same thing, I used Verbatim but now I am using a PHILIPS Double Layer DVD +R which is around the same price of a Verbatim here and they say it's very clean - I bought it because I can't find Verbatim DVDs. Anyhow, I don't know if I am allowed to do this, but I'm going to attach the error log and also paste the log here as text and I'm really sorry if that's against the rules. ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 - Log ; Saturday, 02 January 2010, 20:54:16 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 20:48:00 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I also tried burning a 8GB ISO file before (not a Xbox game) and it gave me a hard time but I managed to do it using Macintosh OS (of course after several tries). I am sure my DVD drive is clean because I used compressed air to do so around an hour ago and also used a cleaning disc. My friends, however, burn their games using ImgBurn just fine. Are there any solutions for this? Other than replacing my DVD drive of course because it burns other discs fine like 700MB discs and stuff; plus, Apple hardware is pretty expensive. I have a Desktop Computer running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit also, should I try using it for burning? Thank you very much and sorry for making it such a long thread. LIGHTNING UK!
Assuming you've read and understood this - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=13239 - all you're left with is buying a new drive. Surely a USB drive is a USB drive? As such, are you not able to just buy any old external USB burner? (full size of course because the slimline drives are rubbish)
mmalves
I have a Desktop Computer running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit also, should I try using it for burning? Yes. Also make sure the burner on that desktop computer has the latest firmware (within ImgBurn right-click the burner's name and you'll see the option ). Raptor88
...snip... Short of buying a new burner drive, maybe order some Verbatim 2.4 DVD +R discs from amazon. I ordered a 20 pack with free shipping since I couldn't find any locally and my first DL burn came out perfect. Raptor
Tarek
Thanks a lot for replying to my thread, guys. I used my other computer and it burned just fine. Successfully burned two games and will burn the third when I get more DVD discs tomorrow. ImgBurn rocks!
