Ok, so I had my Wii chipped. I gave my friend some DVD's to burn some games using image burn. I can play those games just fine. When I try to burn games myself, I get a disk error when loading them into the Wii. I dont get any errors while burning them. I created an .iso from a game I had and gave it to my friend and he was able to burn it sucessfully and I can play it in my wii. I tried the same .iso on my computer and it gives me the same disk read error. Ive even tried to burn it in another computer I have with no luck. Ive done the firmware updates and im burning at 4x speed. The only difference between his computer and mine is he uses Vista and I have XP. Ive tried 3 different DVD burners on 2 different computers with no luck! I cant even remember all the stuff Ive tried because Ive been fighing with this for a week and gone though about 12 DVD's. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks

The disc burned by your friend is booktyped to DVD-ROM, and it also uses a different dye. You could try those Sony blanks with your burner or try your blanks on his burner.

Alternatively you could try with DVD-R media (Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks are highly recommended).

sorry to say mate wii games can't be read in a pc - wii has it own formate and dvd burners can't read -but their do burn the iso of wii- what you need is 'homebrew install to your wii 'softmod' - next a usb hardrive and usb loader on wii. on pc you will need 'wbfs manger' that turn your usb harddrive to wii formate .usb loader will copy games from wii to hardrive and wbfs manger will let you extract game to pc. then burn with imgburn. you will get a wii disk and now it won't be read by pc - own wii can. for more info google wii-hacks - hope this help wii lamers how to get wii iso and burn them.
