BD RE DL erasing failure

Hi! here's the problem I have a bd media that fails to be completely erased(I'll post the log file so you can understand the media code of the bd media and the burner model).

Erasing it with completely default settings makes the burner stuck erasing at 48 %( I've left it for about 8 hours working but it's completely stuck at 48 %),then I tried changing some options and withoud spare parts option checked I managed to completely erase it. Anyway the size of the disc is less than it was brand new,I think, because I can't burn an image meant to fit to a bd re dl like mine.

In fact I think that the media has bad sectors on it,can't they be rapaired in any way?

Here's the a log of some erasing with different options:

Look for the latest chipset/storage drivers for your system (this website might help) as it seems the I/O is getting stuck and that's out of ImgBurn's control.

I've downloaded the v raid drivers for the chipset using the website that you suggested to me. I'll try again later..

I hope Lightning UK could gimme his opinion too.....

Thanks

Update: I've tried again after installing the drivers,it gets stuck at 49 % , again using the defualt settings ( prefer format with full certification, prefer format without spare areas and prefer properly formatted discs checked).

What should I try next? thanks

i could try to change the sata port of the burner...

Anyway I have also others bd re dl sony, identical to this one "faulty", and they are of the right size and I can fully erare them with default settings. It's strange that one only disc gives me these problems, judging from the disc surface there's no sign of scratch or damage at all....

After several times spent on changing sata ports I decided to go back to windows xp and try another OS with the I/O driver that came with my mobo.

then I also tried my media on another pc of a friend of mine, using the same drive HL-DT-ST BD-RE BH08LS20 but the erasing procedure went bad using Nero, imgburn and other software..

this is the info about my media:

dvdidentifier.png

What else could I do? I used my media for about 10 times, I think a rewritable media should last for at least 100 overwritings ( in fact tdk bd re dl claims to last at least for 10000 overwritings)

thanks

If the drive won't write to the disc then there isn't much you can do.

You've already updated the firmware to the latest version so all that's left is to use a different disc.

Perhaps the drive doesn't like the 'MEI-T01-01' dye/MID in the first place.
