Hi, Thx for reply.

I have cleaned the lens and prior to those logs I had done all speeds! I'm on my 9th Verbatim :(

I think it is the Drive? As i used a working backup and created a image back on to the pc then used abgx??? to create .dvd file then tried to re-burn using Image burn but that failed as well, so going to buy a new drive today to see if it's that?

The logs you posted tell us that the burns are good. Have you tested those discs on other X360 consoles? Some are picky about the media they can read.

If you want to go for a new burner then get a Optiarc AD-7240S (7241S / 7243S are also good) as it's one of the best burners on the market now.

The Xbox plays existing Verbatim 2.4x,

I have already ordered a new drive to try but it was the Pioneer (DVR-S18LBK)if that fails I will take your advice and try the Optiarc?

Thanks will keep you posted.

Jim

I had a bad experience with the 7241. My 7241 died after only 4 months of use. Normally, Optiarc drives have been very good for me and usually lasted 2 years. The 7241 didn't. I got a 7261 to replace it as that was all the online store I shop at had. I hope the 7261 performs better. :)

I think i may give up! Tried new media (Ricoh) seemed to burn all ok(4x) but still getting the "Clean disc with Cloth" message on Xbox 360 Screen!

Do you think that the Back-ups only work on 2.4x disc's??? they seem to be phasing these out?

Just to let the community know, it was the actual 360 drive(Hitachi) that was the problem. Very picky on the media!I now have the Liteon drive installed and all working fine, burning with Image burn at all speeds and diff media and rock on! :)

Thx
