Would an IDE or Sata be better? I have 4 ports of SerialATA 1.5Gb/s and 2 ATA133 IDE ports on my mainboard.

 

Or even an external USB drive.

 

Which will prove to be the best/stabel for burning xbox 360 backups?

The interface shouldn't make any difference. It's the quality of the burner that is of vital interest/impact.

Which dual layer would u recommend on this site for xbox 360 besides the obvious verbatims?

But I want to try some cheaper ones aswell just because they are cheaper my xbox 360 drive should be able to read them right?

I dont care much for longetivity for the disc as i usually play games and never touch em again largely.

I suppose the cheaper ones also have a larger rate at which they fail at burning? But I don't think it will cause like many fails.

So my only point is will the xbox 360 be able to read the cheaper media?

Generally I would say that the Mediacode: RICOHJPND01 is easier to burn than the RITEK S04. But the result vary very much between drivers, so to recommend one brand is difficult. Only way to know is to try.
