dovedescent7 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Well this topic was origanlly posted in The multiavchd forums, but this is decidedly more appropriate for this website...By the way i am new, thank you for having me.. win7 64 Ult been able to burn dual layers before, and now i cant.DOnt think its my media as ive tried first with these cheap kodak dual layers (one actually worked!) and then of course went and got some verbatim 8.5 dl's and still didnt work Looks by this log that its not burning layer #2 ? Im using the newest version of imgburn. Ive got these beautiful 8gb iso avchd files (ABOUT TEN),that are making coasters out of my expensive discs. First tried just opening the usual way, mds, and did a burn. 1 out of ten worked on this kodak media.Keep in mind this was over a 3 day period, and i have installed many things over this time, including daemon tools (hate it),and virtualdiscdrive for obvious reasons.BTW while i was downloading one of those, i was asked to install some sort of win7 patch or windows patch or dll for campatibility for 2.5 or udf i forget what it was... Either way, these things werent buirning right before and after the installs, only now i dont know if its the pc or the media, because of the variables involved now..anyways,i got like poweriso and extracted the files, and ran the m2ts through multiavchd then it opened imgburn and i burned another one and still its showing up as unsopprted on my blu ray... By the way,ive burnt about 200 of these on the regular dvd's SINGLE LAYER no problem.they work fine.but im thinking something happened recently that made it so i cannot burn these... Here is the IMGBURN LOG..... Please help me..this has been going on for days... im so frustrated Looks to me like its not burning layer #2? I 12:47:21 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 If they burn and verify ok (verify your discs!!!), chances are that the disc is fine. You might find it's due to the DVD-ROM booktype that's being applied. Some players don't like playing from discs that appear to be DVD-ROM.
dovedescent7 Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 If they burn and verify ok (verify your discs!!!), chances are that the disc is fine. You might find it's due to the DVD-ROM booktype that's being applied. Some players don't like playing from discs that appear to be DVD-ROM. i know for a fact though, that is not the player, because it plays the one 8gb avchd that managed to burn What does verify do?i mean ,ive burnt many of these into coasters,so your suggesting doing again only click the verify button? That will make it playable? And yes i agree its not the discs,i went and bought the good ones that are the best for this so,yeah..its not the discs... My other question is,where is the setting that says DVD-ROM booktype? On the log AND in th program??? does it say in the log that i have the dvd rom selected? or is something else selected? Some advice on WHAT to do would be great... thank you folks again for taking my case
