mmalves Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I 20:20:32 Destination Device: [4:0:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C SB05 (D:) (SATA)I 20:20:32 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x) You need to install the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (hint: use SIW to identify them), as the communication with the burner is being messed up (notice the absence of the Disc ID). After that try burning with a brand new blank disc using 6x or 8x and then post the log for us. If SIW shows you have an Intel chipset/storage controller then install this (reboot if asked) and after that install this (also reboot if asked).

mmalves Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 It doesn't look like you upgraded the storage drivers at all, and the error message, if any, is being discarded. Anyway, try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, and if that doesn't help, then you can try finding the 2.4x Verbatim blanks or start looking for a new burner.
logan2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 device buffer only goes to 95% and there is an IDE controller than keeps changing its name when i restart the computer and i cant find a driver for it either
