I have to DVD burning drives one is a Samsung and the second a Sony. The Samsung drive is used to burn DL discs but whenever I insert a blank dual layer disc my drives uninstall and reinstall according to the IMGBurn log. ianymaty Posted January 16, 2011 Share Posted January 16, 2011 That could indicate a bad/lose data cable or faulty drive or drivers Update chipset/storage drivers. LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 17, 2011 Share Posted January 17, 2011 Looks like it's just having a hard time reading the sectors. Samsung drives seem to give up after 10 seconds, hence the 'timeout'.
