indiffer Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 The software was working fine, then a few failed CD image writes led to this condition when trying to bring "NEC DVD+RW 1100A 10GE" ready ... "Logical unit not ready, Long write in progress" ... and used a few different blank CD-R with the same error message. The software is recognizing that CD-R media is present in the drive.
ianymaty Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Update to latest firmware and try again http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-1100A/files.html Post a log as the pink box above instructs.
Robert333 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Hello Indiffer, You may have to consider Opening ImgBurn and doing: Tools/Reset DMA... Regards, Robert333
indiffer Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) I can't reboot right now because of a running streaming program that would disconnect listeners. Does reset DMA force and require a reboot ? NEC Flash Utility and all other programs won't recognize either drive or media present in it (can't update driver), IMAPI service was stopped, started it but no change in fault conditions. I 14:47:20 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! I 14:47:20 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 14:47:20 Total Physical Memory: 1,571,816 KB - Available: 709,608 KB I 14:47:20 Initialising SPTI... I 14:47:20 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 14:47:20 -> Drive 1 - Info: SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616T F310 (D:) (ATA) I 14:47:20 -> Drive 2 - Info: _NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A 10GE (E:) (ATA) I 14:47:20 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD+RW! ianymaty Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 This might help you with the flashing thing http://binflash.cdfreaks.com/ Yes, you need to restart after the flash and also after reset DMA if you intend, in order to redetect the drives.
