Movie Junkie Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 A car company can move its factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market. A toy company can out source to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a free market. A shoe company can produce its shoes in south east Asia and claim it's free market. A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free market. We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico. We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh. We can purchase almost anything we want from 20 different countries BUT, heaven help the elderly who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a Canadian pharmacy. That's called un-American! And you think the pharmaceutical companies don't have a powerful lobby? Think again!
dbminter Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Makes one wonder how many cures there are for things. How was it put in Dalek? "Why sell a cure when I can sell a thousand pallatives?"
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 A dalek? Mate, you need to get out more.
kevdriver Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Shamus, thats a different ava mate...............
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Shamus, thats a different ava mate............... I was bored with the comb-over.
dbminter Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 A dalek? Mate, you need to get out more. You're just jealous of my magnanimous powers of retention! I can see something once and recall lines.
lfcrule1972 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I think we are worried that you are taking everything Dalek's say as Gospel mate !!!
dbminter Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Well, they ARE the superior form of life. BUT, remember, it was Van Staten who said that, not the Dalek. And, no, I don't accept what Daleks say. Remember their psychological profile from the Doctor Who role playing game supplements: Daleks will lie when it suits them.
lfcrule1972 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I did remember it was Van Staten - he had a point too, one that I am sure is adopted around the world in pharmaceutical companies
