gohanrage Posted April 27, 2012 Share Posted April 27, 2012 I was wondering why Booktyping DVD+R to DVD-ROM never is perminant? Everytime I turn on my Computer I have to change the Booktype again. I have an OLD LG GH22LP20 which Booktyped on its own without doing a single thing. My GH22NS50 and GH24LS70 do not Booktype on their own. do you know of anyway to make booktype settings to DVD-ROM perminant. Of course if I am using Img Burn to Burn to a DVD+R it Booktypes by Default but I have other software that does not book type so I have to change the booktype within IMGBURN and then RUN the other program to get the disc booktyped to DVD-ROM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted April 28, 2012 Share Posted April 28, 2012 Some models may automatically change the booktype on DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM but LG drives in general require the appropriate commands to be sent each time. There's no way to make the drive remember the settings - unless you can find a modified firmware somewhere (like over at the MyCE forums maybe).
