Palpatine
Hello I get the error in the subject for every attemp I make to burn a cue file. Cue file was made following procedure provided on the official site for making a music CD from a set of MP3 files. PC is new (bought a week ago) Img version is new : downloaded yesterday. Tried many CDs, Read and Read Write with same result. Except a bug in ImgBurn software, I see non explication. If not a bug, then it means you have to be pretty much an expert to burning CD nowadays ;-) PS : I tried something in discovery mode, it took ages and the CD was not readable on the reader... LIGHTNING UK!
Install the latest firmware for the drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NS70/files.html Copy + paste the contents of a CUE that won't burn please (open it in notepad). p.s. service pack 1 is out for Windows 7. Palpatine
I have installed the firmware from the link provided and it did not change anything (I was not very surprised since I had installed the drivers that were shipped with the PC) I am pushing the windows updates in case that helps, as you suggest. Below in lower case is the CUE file content, as requested. All the indexes are 01 and 00.00.00, pehaps that is the issue (in which case the bug is in the CUE creation) FILE LIGHTNING UK!
Where are you getting all of these tiny Not all drives will burn them (tracks less than 2 seconds long - sometimes even 4 seconds) - yours being one of them. btw, firmware for a drive is nothing to do with drivers. It's the software that runs on your drive (nothing to do with the rest of your computer or Windows in general) and makes it burn (or fail to burn!). Palpatine
I made them from a site that build text to speech. I am trying to make a CD for a big game event, with 20 musics to recognize and twenty little announcements "this is music number one" between the musics. The annoucement should be lasting a few seconds. Note that there was no issue at all with my previous PC and the software that came with it (I do not remember the name of the software). Where are you getting all of these tiny < 2 seconds mp3 files from? Not all drives will burn them (tracks less than 2 seconds long - sometimes even 4 seconds) - yours being one of them. LIGHTNING UK!
You could burn those little files in track at once (TAO) mode, but not with DAO/SAO. It would have made more sense (and worked!) if the 'a' and 'b' parts were combined into a single file. Plus that way, track 20 would really be track 20 and not have a computer thing saying it's music number 10 or whatever.
Palpatine
ok, it worked when I removed the tiny files. still, I need these announcements... any easy way to cheat or to find out the acceptable limit ?
LIGHTNING UK!
I'm pretty sure it's 4 seconds for LG drives. So if the 'REM FILE-DECODED-SIZE' comes out to anything below 00:04:00 (minutes:seconds:frames) for any of the files, it probably won't accept the CUE sheet. As mentioned above, if you change the 'Write Type' to 'TAO' in the Settings (Write tab), it'll let you burn the CUE sheet as-is. Put it back on DAO/SAO when you're done. But TAO is old school (skool) and a bit rubbish. I'd personally go for joining the 2 mp3's together in something and making a new CUE file where the tracks/questions then line up properly. Palpatine
I went for the solution 2 (TAO) (because I lack time to do solution 3) and it worked fine. Thanks a lot Merci beaccoup.
