Won't get past Writing Leadin

Hi,

I've tried to find answers to this problem but have only found others with it and none specifically the same as mine.

I didn't use to have any problems writing dvds with your excellent (and frequently amusing) program but recently when tryiing to write DVDs, the program sticks on writing leadin and the only way out is to crash the computer. The drive whirrs for up to half an hour before I stop it.

The drive has no problem writing data CDs with Imgburn or creatiing images.

Do you have any suggestions for me? I have re-installed the firmware for the drive and updated Imgburn.

Thanks!

Thanks for your speedy reply.

I used a different (and more expensive) disk and it worked, however looking at the log this is also described as the same kind of disk:

I 20:15:57 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: RITEK-F16-01)

Maybe the manufacturers supply their better ones to one firm and their worse ones to another!

How can you tell when they're still in their packaging?

Thanks again.
