Write Bd-R DL - The written track is incomplete!

I had to write folders bdmv and certificate to a dl bd-r disc but once the writing is successfully ended, as i see in the message of imgburn (last version), i can't read the bd on my my stand-alone bluray reader.

I notice that the recorded track doesn't reach even the half of the disk, and the folders are 40gb about, so the disc should be written at least for 3/4 about and so on.

I have tried with 2 bd writers:

- LiteOn iHBS212

- LG BH16NS40

and i used the latest version of imgburn with udf 2.50..

u think using udf 2.60 can solve the problem?

i'm not so sure about this but i try to ask u the same..

or, anyway, someone can help me to understand why the track recorded is incomplete? maybe i have to change some option in imgburn (it has a lot of ones!)

i add that with other films all is good and the wrong one i have in 2 version but no one of the two works

i hope in your help

kind regards

You should only need v2.50

If the disc doesn't work, it's usually because the player doesn't like the folder structure / files on the disc - and nothing to do with the burn itself.

Post the log please so we can at least see if it burnt and verified correctly.

If you're having problems getting a working disc, just use a BD-RE until the issue is resolved.

First of posting the entire log of the burning i would like to bring your attention on these 2 strings that i see in the log window after i press the button "calculate image size", before i start the burning process.

17:22:36 Removed Filtered File: \BDMV\JAR\88890\eng\Thumbs.db

17:22:36 Removed Filtered File: \BDMV\JAR\88890\ita\Thumbs.db

with a yellow triangle at the beginning of each line

in the other 2 films of the series i have not these strings, i burn, the track is well written and my reader plays the movie correctly

Can be this the problem?

Make me know, i will later post the entire log, thanks!

Thank you for your explanation, i don't know however why in the other 2 films this didn't happen, anyway i learned a thing from u :)

Now i will start a burning with imgburn on a rewritable disc and i will post the entire log, think it will take 2 hours about...wait me ;)

ops.. it tells me: 1h 18m left, maybe it can be less slow :D

With PowerDVD on pc the disc runs ok...i'm stumped, in my stand alone player the screen remains black and nothing starts..but as i told u before the other two films from the same uploader run good. So i would be of the opinion to exclude a bad compatibility with my reader.

I really dunnow what to think.
