gettinaclu Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Following help received here I have successfully converted mpeg files with vsoDivxToDVD to ISO and burnt to Sony DVD-R. SOund quality is good and image is pretty good but frames are a little wobbly in places and blur through transitions. I burnt at 4x speed, not sure if this makes a difference to output? Can i take any extra steps to enhance video quality before/during burn?
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 More than likely the problem lies with your original source file and/or your media. If the frames are a bit jittery, it could be your player having problems reading the data from the DVD. If it's blurry, then I'd guess it's the original source file and the fault of the compressor/converter. ImgBurn doesn't affect things like audio and video. It basically grabs a bunch of files and tells your burner what to do. The burner then replies with an "Aye Aye Cap'n!", and usually (but not always) proceeds to do what it's been told.
lfcrule1972 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I agree with Shamus in that it's likely to be the source files. Either that or maybe going from watching it on a PC monitor to a larger home TV screen will show up defects you missed in the original on a smaller screen. I have used vsoDivxToDVD without any quality loss.
Defenestration Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Before burning the files to DVD, try viewing them on your PC with a media/video player to see if they look OK. This will rule out any problems with the source files.
