RonanP Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I have been trying to burn DVD's with DVD -R and DVD +RW using the DVD-RW AD-7701H USB writer. I have no success. I have tried erasing the RW and rerecording but I get the same error every time .'layouts do noy match' I wonder if this writer and Imgburn are not compatiable. spinningwheel Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I wonder if this writer and Imgburn are not compatiable . Wrong Guess. Start with your media: I 07:45:48 Media Type: DVD+RW (Disc ID: PHILIPS-041-00) http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
RonanP Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 I am afraid that I don't understand that. I have used media that has worked with other software and other writers. So the problem must lie with the software, the writer of the combination of the two. The help topic quoted above seems to imply that you can only use Verbatin discs which is plainly rediculous unless that software doesn't work with other media. Brian
ianymaty Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Did you tried those suggestions? Generaly if a drive can't burn a Verbatim it's time for a new drive.
spinningwheel Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 ImgBurn works with any drive/media/firmware...it's software! Your DRIVE may not like some media or even a given few discs within a spindle of discs. We recommend what we recommend due to the fact that most drives don't crap out on it. Spend some time looking around the web and you will find that most other media will give users fits. The help topic quoted above seems to imply that you can only use Verbatin discs which is plainly rediculous unless that software doesn't work with other media. If you do not understand an answer, don't be a with your comments, just ask for a further explanation.
