I have been getting the same i/o error that alot of people are gettting during verification. Here is an example copied from another post:

I 13:53:31 Verifying Sectors...

E 14:21:16 Failed to read Sector 1749328 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error

E 14:21:16 Sector 1749328 maps to File: <REMOVED>

E 14:21:16 Failed to Verify Sectors!

E 14:21:19 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:27:45

I 14:21:19 Average Verify Rate: 2,102 KB/s (1.5x) - Maximum Verify Rate: 9,081 KB/s (6.6x)

I have tried the many troubleshooting tips: updated firmware, changed write speed, uninstalled controller, tried new disk in case the problem was with the disk, and tried buring with different iso's incase the iso was the problem. Still no success.

It kind of seems like the problem is with the new version of the software and not the drive or disk.

I used another program and the same brand/type dvd-r i had been using and tried to burn the iso i original tried with imgburn. the burn was problem free. is there somewhere i can get an older version of imgburn?

Although it might seem like the program is at fault I can assure you it's not.

Those errors come from the drive, it's impossible for the program to make them up. If it can't read something, the drive returns an error. The program mearly turns it from a couple of numbers (known as 'sense data') into plain english. That's the 'L-EC Uncorrectable Error' bit you're seeing there.
