Windows XP won't boot on my MAIN PC

I have no idea what log files I'm suppose to include here so, go ahead wrap me in the head!  It's been done before and will probably be done again.

Now, I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box.  Here's the story; my main pc crashed.  Windows XP will not boot on it.  And of course it's the one with all my files etc. etc. are.  I have this second computer, thank God.  I have a new processor too for Windows 8.1.  I got a lot of help from Elizabeth on Microsoft Forum.  She told me to download ImageBurn.  Now I'm in over my head.  I don't really understand all the directions in the guides.

I HAVE TO burn a cd from this pc so I can take it and have Windows XP boot on my main pc.  Can someone please tell me how to do this without all that computer mumbo jumbo?

Oh, and please hurry, I'm going to get in trouble when I start shooting all of my computers!

She didn't say what type of file to burn. But, I need whatever is in Windows XP on this computer to burn a cd so I can then, hopefully use it to boot Windows XP on my main pc. That wouldn't be an image file; would it?
