dbminter Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I've got some weird error text, etc. in the Registry for the options under Autoplay for one of my optical drives. And only one. The others don't have it. There are two entries with strange, random text, like black rectangles, etc. Even a strange option with no icon to play the disc inserted into the DVD drive with "Google." So, where are the list of these autoplay programs stored so I can go in there and edit them? Thanks!
SPA_CE Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 (edited) You Can Try "Autoplay Repair", which can be downloaded here --> http://www-stud.uni-essen.de/~sddabacz/software_apr.htm ,or you can edit manually on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers" Edited October 3, 2006 by dA CLOwN
blutach Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Or try TweakUI. Or Windows Defender. Or MSConfig. Regards
lfcrule1972 Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Is there anything db hasn't broken I wonder
spinningwheel Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Is there anything db hasn't broken I wonder I don't believe so....
dbminter Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 Actually, there's very little I'VE broken. It's always something else breaking it BEFORE I could get to it. Seriously, I rarely break this shit. It's always some other fucker who's done it, and I have to clean up their goddamn mess.
dbminter Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 Thanks for the reg key. I've got a feeling I'll need to actually edit the registry on this one, but, I'll try MSCONFIG and TWEAKUI, since I've got those on hand ALL the time.
