Scythal
Hello, I tried to burn an iso image (LinuxMint installation DVD), on a DVD-RW media. But - the formatting never ends, remains stuck at 11%. The DVD seems already formatted, the disc has stopped spinning, nothing else is happening - I had to kill the program since it won't quit otherwise, no cancel AFAIK - running the burn was fine, but again stuck at 34% during "Synchronising Cache" (sic). Complete bar is completely green, Buffer bar and Device Buffer bar are empty, disc has stopped spinning. - had to kill again. The files *seem* to be on the DVD but I wouldn't trust it under those circumstances. Seems to mirror many other reports of similar freeze of the software. Here are the logs, hopefully you can fix your software, as it is it's unusable for me. I 19:54:33 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! Scythal
On top of that, I had to reboot the computer otherwise it wouldn't let me eject the DVD, even manually. Uninstalled the program. (btw, your website has issues with the login system as well, it won't log automatically even though this option is selected).
LIGHTNING UK!
Your system is hanging, not the program. The drive does the format, ImgBurn just polls it every second to see if it's finished and get the %complete value. The same is true for the sync cache part. Drives don't like being on controllers in RAID mode. Which controller is your drive attached to? (Which chipset?) Undated drivers may fix your problems. The forum logs in automatically for me. Has done for the past 8 or however many years.
