Startropic1 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I made an ISO/burned it with ImgBurn setting the book type to DVD-ROM. (for bitsetting) On verify ImgBurn gives me this error: I/O Error! Device: [1:1:0] SONY DVD RW DRU-710A BYX5 (H (ATA) ScsiStatus: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 28 00 00 00 00 04 00 00 01 00 Interpretation: Read (10) - sector: 4 Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 11 05 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: L-EC Uncorrectable Error The disc (which is another DVD+R) is readable on my burner drive, but not on my DVD-ROM drive.

polopony Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Disc ID: CMC MAG-E01-00 Like Kev says they're real junk ,I would bet that about 90% of the failures we see or other errors are due to people using CMC MAG based stuff . You can go to www.digitalfaq.com and do some reading on blank dvd quality
