Shamus_McFartfinger Posted October 23, 2006 Share Posted October 23, 2006 Welcome. A good drive. Good media. Recent firmware. You?ve burned images both before and after this failure which means all is working as it should. I can only summise that the failure can be placed at your source file. Shamus_McFartfinger Posted October 23, 2006 Share Posted October 23, 2006 Not asking you to create another coaster, just to check your existing file without wasting another disk. DVD Shrink will howl and complain if something isn?t right with the ISO (which is a good thing). Tell it to output the files to your HD somewhere. I have never done 2.4X, only 4X, dozens of times before and twice since producing this error (same batch of Verbatim +R DL) , both times successful, but with a different file/movie. I didn't think there was anything wrong with this file and now I am convinced it can't be the drive/firmware/media because I have not made a coaster with the other files I burned afterwards... Yes. I just wanted to make sure, that's all. I know it's hard for you to tell on your end, but was worth asking in case you had seen it before and clearly identified the cause.
