Andres Rojas 1
I've been trying to burn/burn an ISO image of an xbox 360 game on imation brand dvd+r discs for days. I was going to use an external LG recorder that I had (bought 1 couple of years ago), but it was not recognized by my old laptop (and neither by a laptop acquired a couple of months ago). For this reason I acquired two new external recorders. I couldn't get internal or external Lite on recorders. Nor Verbatim MKM -003-00 discs. First I tested one of the recorders on my oldest laptop, and none of the discs even managed to start burning. Then I did tests with the same recorder on my most current laptop, and got the same results (the ones I sent as a screenshot: disk error 1, in all attempts I got the same error message). I switched readers, and when I thought I was going to start recording data, I had the same error, albeit with some slight differences in the error message: recorder error 2). Attached log file, which records all attempts made on this laptop (the most recent) since I installed and opened Imgburn on this computer. Hoping you can help me and guide me on what I would have to change (I suspect it's the records), I thank you in advance. dbminter
Your most likely culprit is the CMC MAG DVD+R DL's you're using. CMC Magnetics makes the worst discs out there. (Ironically, they also own the company that releases the best, too!) MKM DVD+R DL from Verbatim DataLife Plus are the only reliable make of DVD+R DL out there. However, you said you were unable to procure MKM discs. Still, I think that's going to be your only solution.
