thelonelykid Posted Friday at 11:44 PM Posted Friday at 11:44 PM I've been trying to burn a CD, but 2 of the audio files (FLAC) come out tinny and low quality. The rest of the files (17 total) do not have this issue. I have even tried converting the two problematic files to .wav in hopes it might do something, but it ran into the same issue. I am using Verbatim CD-R's and a samsung SE-208 dvd writer
dbminter Posted yesterday at 12:39 AM Posted yesterday at 12:39 AM Did you "install" madFLAC for ImgBurn?
thelonelykid Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM I did, I've burned other CD's using FLAC files a handful of times before and have not run into this issue.
dbminter Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Since you already tried converting the FLAC's to uncompressed .WAV and still get the same tinny sound, it sounds like something in the codec that you won't be able to work around. So, something present in the way the source files were authored that madFLAC doesn't like.
