lfcrule1972 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Here is an IQ test. I've been told this is a test regularly given to job applicants in Japan. (Ignore the fact that the text is in Japanese) Here are the steps, Click this URL http://freeweb.siol.net/danej/riverIQGame.swf The object of this test is to get all the people on the other side of the river using the raft. To start, click on blue circle. Here are the rules: 1. Only 2 persons on the raft at a time 2. The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence. 3. The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence. 4. The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there. 5. Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft. 6. To move the people click on them. 7. To move the raft click on the pole on the opposite side of the river. Enjoy.
lfcrule1972 Posted February 7, 2007 Author Posted February 7, 2007 Oh and you should be aiming for 9 steps to completion
volvofl10 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 all they want to do is kung fu kick each other !

lfcrule1972 Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 Ah ok - the rules count a move as a "sailing" !
dbminter Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 That old problem again. I can even remember it being covered in one of my college math classes. Of course, the easiest answer is to kung fu kick anyone who has a problem with anyone else and carry them all across at the same time while unconscious.
volvofl10 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 how the fook did you manage to translate the rules from slant eye to english / i think you might have made a mistake in the translation. My local chinese takeaway dood tells me it says NOT to put all the whole family in danger by putting them onto German/Triad controlled territory . you will notice that he was right, as when they all land and get initiated, they all start doing then German Triad salute besides, the thief looks like daughter #3 to me
dbminter Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 But the raft will sink db #39;( Okay, then. Kung fu kick everyone unconscious, take the raft yourself, and row like Hell for freedom, SWEET, SWEET FREEDOM!
lfcrule1972 Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 I have an A level in Japanese volvo :smartass:
volvofl10 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 spose you got a degree in paddling rafts as well then ?
dbminter Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 While I was briefly incarcerated in mental hospital, I took up paddling rafts weaving. I thought weaving baskets was a little too cliche, you know?
