Sorry, your drive is perhaps too old and doesn't follow MMC specs.

 

Without buying the drive myself there is no real way for me to try and work around this problem - and being only a CD-RW drive, there is little chance of me doing that. All my testing is done on newer CD/DVD burners.

but I`not sure now if you got confused by the

"write speed 4x" display.

before that i tested it on "max", with the same result however.
